"Hurts like Heaven" and "Clocks" by Coldplay - Musical Monday

Hey all my dear readers! :D How are you? I know I have been late in posting and didn't post last week. But I was quite busy, presentation and project, remember? And from tomorrow till Thursday I have got my exams. So I won't be posting before that! But hey, stay tuned. In November I'll be bringing a a great series of 4-5 posts on something I'd like to share with you all. What it would be? Well, wait!! :D Till then, enjoy these two songs! :)

Hurts like Heaven by Coldplay

Lyrics:

Written in graffiti on a bridge in a park
'Do you ever get the feeling that you're missing the mark?'
It's so cold, it's so cold
It's so cold, it's so cold

Written up in marker on a factory sign
'I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine'
It's so cold, it's so cold
It's so cold, it's so cold

See the arrow that they shot, trying to tear us apart
Fire from my belly and the beat from my heart
Still I won't let go
Still I won't let go

You
Ooohooh

'Cause you do

Oh you, use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

On every street, every car, every surface are names
And at the streets arise, i'll be rather insane
Don't let them take control
No we won't let take control
Yes, I feel a little bit nervous,
Yes, I feel nervous and I cannot relax,
How come they're out to get us?
How come they're out when they don't know the facts?

So on concrete canvas under cover of dark
Concrete canvas, I'll go making my mark
Armed with a spray can soul
I'll be armed with a spray can soul

You
Ooohooh

Oh, you
Ooohooh

Yes, you
You use your heart as a weapon
And it hurts like heaven

Woho-ooh
Woho-oooh

It's true
When you
Use your heart as a weapon
It hurts like heaven

Clocks by Coldplay

Lyrics:

The lights go out and I can't be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Have brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead, singing

Come out of the things unsaid
Shoot an apple off my head and a
Trouble that can't be named
A tiger's waiting to be tamed, singing

You are, you are

Confusion that never stops
The closing walls and the ticking clocks gonna
Come back and take you home
I could not stop, that you now know, singing

Come out upon my seas
Cursed missed opportunities am I
A part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease, singing

You are, you are
You are, you are
You are, you are

And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
And nothing else compares

You are, you are

Home, home, where I wanted to go
Home, home, where I wanted to go
Home, home, where I wanted to go (You are)
Home, home, where I wanted to go (You are)

"Someon Like You" and "Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" - Musical Monday

Hey all my dear readers! Good morning, and a happy new week! :D I hope you all are doing well and enjoyed the Sunday's post! hahaha! :D

So I am here again, to share 2 great songs for this Musical Monday. Have fun! :)

"Someone Like You" by Adele

Lyrics:

I heard that you're settled down
That you found a girl and you're married now
I heard that your dreams came true
Guess she gave you things I didn't give to you

Old friend, why are you so shy?
Ain't like you to hold back or hide from the light

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me, it isn't over

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

You know how the time flies
Only yesterday was the time of our lives
We were born and raised in a summer haze
Bound by the surprise of our glory days

I hate to turn up out of the blue, uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I had hoped you'd see my face and that you'd be reminded
That for me, it isn't over yet

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead, yeah

Nothing compares, no worries or cares
Regrets and mistakes, they're memories made
Who would have known how bittersweet this would taste?

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you
Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

Never mind, I'll find someone like you
I wish nothing but the best for you, too
Don't forget me, I begged, I remember you said
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead
Sometimes it lasts in love, but sometimes it hurts instead

"Every Teardrop is a Waterfall" by Coldplay

Lyrics:

I turn the music up, I got my records on
I shut the world outside until the lights come on
Maybe the streets alight, maybe the trees are gone
I feel my heart start beating to my favorite song

And all the kids they dance, all the kids all night
Until Monday morning feels another life
I turn the music up, I'm on a roll this time
And heaven is in sight

I turn the music up, I got my records on
From underneath the rubble sing a rebel song
Don't want to see another generation drop
I'd rather be a comma than a full stop

Maybe I'm in the black, maybe I'm on my knees
Maybe I'm in the gap between the two trapezes
But my heart is beating and my pulses start
Cathedrals in my heart

And we saw, oh, this light, I swear you, emerge blinking into
To tell me it's alright, as we soar walls, every siren is a symphony
And every tear's a waterfall, is a waterfall, oh, is a waterfall,
Oh, is a, is a waterfall, every tear is a waterfall

So you can hurt, hurt me bad
But still I'll raise the flag
It was a waaaterfall
A waaaterfall

Every tear, every tear, every teardrop is a waterfall
Every tear, every tear, every teardrop is a waterfall

I hope you liked the songs friends. Have fun and see you all soon. I have got my presentation tomorrow and AMCAT exams on 25th. Wish me luck! ;) All comments and suggestions welcomed! :) Have a great week! :D

"Hey Jude" and "The Scientist" - Musical Monday

Hey all! :) I hope you had a fabulous weekend and wish you all a great new week! :D

Well, I apologize for not posting much last week. I was extremely busy. It was my project submission week and had a lot of work to do. Moreover exams are approaching again, so I'm trying to gear up! And hey, tomorrow starts Navaratri! :D All set?! :D :D
Anyways, enjoy these two songs for today, I'll try to post again asap! :D LOL!

Hey Jude by The Beatles

Lyrics:

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

Hey Jude, don't be afraid
You were made to go out and get her
The minute you let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better

And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain
Don't carry the world upon your shoulders
For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder
Na na na, na na, na na na na

Hey Jude, don't let me down
You have found her, now go and get her
Remember to let her into your heart
Then you can start to make it better

So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin
You're waiting for someone to perform with
And don't you know that it's just you? Hey Jude, you'll do
The movement you need is on your shoulder
Na na na, na na, na na na na, yeah

Hey Jude, don't make it bad
Take a sad song and make it better
Remember to let her under your skin
Then you begin to make it better
Better, better, better, better, better, oh!

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude

Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
Na na na, na-na na na
Na-na na na, hey Jude
?

The Scientist by Coldplay

Lyrics:

Come up to meet you, tell you I'm sorry
You don't know how lovely you are
I had to find you, tell you I need you
Tell you I set you apart

Tell me your secrets and ask me your questions
Oh, let's go back to the start
Running in circles, coming up tails
Heads on a science apart

Nobody said it was easy
It's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be this hard
Oh, take me back to the start

I was just guessing at numbers and figures
Pulling the puzzles apart
Questions of science, science and progress
Do not speak as loud as my heart

But tell me you love me, come back and haunt me
Oh and I rush to the start
Running in circles, chasing our tails
Coming back as we are

Nobody said it was easy
Oh, it's such a shame for us to part
Nobody said it was easy
No one ever said it would be so hard
I'm going back to the start

Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Ah ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh
Oh ooh, ooh ooh ooh ooh

Have a great week again, and I will try to post tomorrow if I am not to busy. I have something cool in my mind and I hope I don't forget what's that! LOL!! Good Day, hope to see you all soon again! :)

"What You Want" and "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence

Hey all my dear readers! :D Welcome to my blog on this Musical Monday! :) Enjoy these two songs! :D

What You Want by Evanescence

Lyrics:

Do what you what you want, if you have a dream for better
Do what you what you want till you don't want it anymore
(remember who you really are)

Do what you what you want, your world's closing in on you now
(it isn't over)
Stand and face the unknown
(got to remember who you really are)
Every heart in my hands like a pale reflection

Hello, hello remember me?
I'm everything you can't control
Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to believe
we can break through

Do what you what you want, you don't have to lay your life down
(it isn't over)
Do what you what you want till you find what you're looking for
(got to remember who you really are)
But every hour slipping by screams that I have failed you

Hello, hello remember me?
I'm everything you can't control

Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to believe
Hello, hello remember me?
I'm everything you can't control
Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to believe

There's still time
Close your eyes
Our love will guide you home
Tear down the walls and free your soul
Till we crash we're forever spiraling down, down, down, down

Hello, hello it's only me infecting everything you love
Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to believe
Hello, hello remember me?
I'm everything you can't control
Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to learn forgiveness
Hello, hello remember me I'm everything you can't control
Somewhere beyond the pain there must be a way to believe
we can break through.

Remember who you really are

Do what you want, you want.

Bring Me to Life by Evanescence

Lyrics:

How can you see into my eyes like open doors?
Leading you down into my core where I've become so numb
Without a soul, my spirit sleeping somewhere cold
Until you find it there and lead it back home

Wake me up
(Wake me up inside)
I can't wake up
(Wake me up inside)
Save me
(Call my name and save me from the dark)

Wake me up
(Bid my blood to run)
I can't wake up
(Before I come undone)
Save me
(Save me from the nothing I've become)

Now that I know what I'm without
You can't just leave me
Breathe into me and make me real
Bring me to life

Wake me up
(Wake me up inside)
I can't wake up
(Wake me up inside)
Save me
(Call my name and save me from the dark)

Wake me up
(Bid my blood to run)
I can't wake up
(Before I come undone)
Save me
(Save me from the nothing I've become)

I've been living a lie
There's nothing inside
Bring me to life

Frozen inside without your touch
Without your love, darling
Only you are the life among the dead

All this time, I can't believe I couldn't see
Kept in the dark but you were there in front of me
I've been sleeping a thousand years it seems
Got to open my eyes to everything

Without thought, without voice, without a soul
Don't let me die here
There must be something more
Bring me to life

Wake me up
(Wake me up inside)
I can't wake up
(Wake me up inside)
Save me
(Call my name and save me from the dark)

Wake me up
(Bid my blood to run)
I can't wake up
(Before I come undone)
Save me
(Save me from the nothing I've become)

I've been living a lie
There's nothing inside
Bring me to life

The weekend was busy so sorry for not being able to post on the weekend! :) I hope you enjoyed the songs, have fun! :)

Do it Yourself USB Drives - Fromrum Friday

Hey all my dear readers! :D Welcoming you all at my Blog on this Fromrum Friday, I know I am late, but well, it was a busy day!

A few days ago I received an awesome CNET article I would like to share with you all. It is an amazing one and tells you how to customize the look of your USB Drives so that you can make them look trendy! :D

This article was compiled by Sharon Vaknin of CNET. She writes amazing articles and perhaps one of my favourite CNET writers! :D So, let's see what she says on CNET:

"Whether you use them in your everyday work flow, or dust them off on occasion, flash drives are perhaps one of the handiest, most underrated gadgets out there. Despite the cloud storage trend, many of us still rely on these doodads when we need to transfer data in a pinch.

And thanks to the InterWebs, there's a seemingly endless variety of unique flash drives to match your equally special personality.

But, what's better than forking over $20 to $30 on a low-capacity, overpriced flash drive? Making your own on the cheap. After sifting through the Web for DIYs, here are seven of the most doable (and unusual) homemade thumbdrives out there. "

The article was so interesting and catchy that I couldn't stop reading it in full. It had numerous links to the sources where CNET would have found these amazing tricks. I will provide links to those sites as well :) But I'll share only those DIYs which I found the best! :D

An old Floppy into a Trendy Pen-Drive?

Broken USB Wire or an amazing USB-Drive?

Well this one is my favourite. It looks the best and is no doubt the one which would leave your friends wondering "How is that broken wire working?!" Check how to do this one HERE

A double headed USB Drive? LOL!

Check this one HERE.

My USB Drive is a Lego Block?

You can find the Instructions for this one HERE

I hope you all too find this article as interesting as I found it to be and as amazing as I thought! :D :D Looking forward for all comments and suggestions. Any requests you wish to make feel free to post it as a comment or in the CBOX. All appreciated!

Good Evening! :) I hope you had a great Friday and have an amazing Weekend ahead! :)

"Only thing we have to fear is fear itself" - Intellectual Thursday

Hey all my dear readers! :D I welcome you all at my blog on this amazing Thursday! :)

Am I becoming accustomed to this now? No, I am not talking about blogging, I am talking about, "Thinking something amazing to write about and then forget about it when the time comes!?" I don't know, but it's not good :/ Again I forgot like the Tuesday what I thought for Thursday to post here.

But hey!! I recalled! Damn, this was a bad jump back on the topic! :O Anyways, let's get serious, and start talking.

The famous words of Franklin D. Roosevelt - "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself" is what's on my mind to discuss with you all today. The famous quote reminds me of an amazing story I read in my last school year, "Deep Water". It was the story about William Douglas' fear of water and how he overcame it. It was an amazing excerpt and it was quite inspiring. To be honest I am not sure if these were first said by Roosevelt only because the Internet sources have these words in his speech.

The quote I mentioned above is a great quote and I just think it's one of my favourites. It not only fills my heart with courage but gives me strength at times when it is needed the most. This even makes me recall the famous advertisement of a beverage that said "Everyone is afraid of something, but the one who moves ahead of it, is the one who wins". In the context of the quote, this line is quite matching. Actually if you say you don't fear anything, you are just reassuring yourself that you are brave, thought maybe you are not. But if you are honest and know things that scare you, you can think of ways to deal with your fear and be a winner.

The point I want to highlight is that, being scared is not bad. Now you must wonder how does that goes with the quote I was sharing? Actually, the quotes have a hidden meaning. You should fear nothing, means you should be brave to face anything that scares you. Fear the fear itself, means only thing you should not let your mind be is afraid of a situation and step back. You might be scared for once, but if you be courageous and take a step further, you never know what you may achieve. This reminds me of a pic I saw on facebook(I'll upload here if I find it on the Internet again) that said you never know how close to your goal you are, so never give up.

Aha! I found the pic and uploaded it! :D :D

So coming back to what we were discussing. Actually fear is a feeling that is there in everyone's heart. The only thing is who fears what. Someone might be scared of dark, and the people'd be laughing at him and at the same time, the one's laughing might be scared of thunderstorms! So don't be disheartened that you are scared of something. Being brave doesn't mean that you are not scared of anything, but it rather means that nothing can scare you. What's the difference? Well, being scared means you are scared of something, but if something can scare you it means it will throw you away from your path, but being scared of something and taking a step further shows that yes! you are the most courageous person in the world. now some readers find this misleading and think they are scared of their parents and now they won't be and they will be rude to them. Excuse me! There is a difference in being brave and decent. Ah, I always go off topic.

Fear the fear itself means that there should be nothing that makes you take a step back on your path. Of course your path should be the right one and justified. You should not take unjust steps.

One important thing is if you are not wrong, fear itself will be less cross ways with you. If you are doing something wrong that might raise a brow, in that case the caution level is high and you'll be scared of any sound, even a pin drop. The point is simple, if you are right you should not be scared of anything. Moreover, the fear of fear doesn't mean that you have to be scared of fear, NO! It simply means that you don't have to let fear push you back on your way ahead to success.

I know my article had a lot of off-topic jumps and was not very well formatted, but I think I have made my point clear. The only thing one should fear is fear which only means never let anything push you back just because you are scared to move forward. Always have faith in yourself, and do whatever it takes(of course the justified path!) to achieve success! :)

I hope you like the article and all comments and suggestions are welcomed always! :D Take care, have fun! :)

Palm Islands, Dubai - Random Wednesday

Hey all my dear readers! :D Happy Wednesday at Blog de Toxifier! :D

I remember the Palm Islands Documentary I saw on the National Geographic 2 or 3 years back(maybe even more). I just recalled it a couple of days ago while surfing through the Television. The documentary was amazing. It was being retelecasted on TV a few days back when I recalled it. But well, they were showing the same video years after again! Duh!

This made me search the Internet for the latest and more updated information about the Palm Islands, but to my wonder I saw not much about them on the Internet even. So I guess, before moving on further with the information, I should make it clear this information is taken from various Internet sources, and if the Internet doesn't have much information for some reason, I am unaware of that and I hope it is legal and safe to write about them! :O

So Palm Islands, well I must say they are actually a marvel Humans have made. Though it can be thought by some as bad since it is like humans duplicating the role of nature and making islands, but well, it is more of a reclaimed land, made of sand dug out from the sea floor. Sounds interesting! :D

From Wikipedia:

"The Palm Islands is an artificial archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on which major commercial and residential infrastructures will be constructed. "Artificial because it's man-made and Archipelago means a group of islands." They are being constructed by Nakheel Properties, a property developer in the United Arab Emirates, who hired Belgian and Dutch dredging and marine contractor Jan De Nul and Van Oord, some of the world's specialists in land reclamation. The islands are the Palm Jumeirah, the Palm Jebel Ali and the Palm Deira.

Each settlement will be in the shape of a palm tree, topped with a crescent, and will have a large number of residential, leisure and entertainment centers. The Palm Islands are located off the coast of The United Arab Emirates in the Persian Gulf and will add 520 kilometers of beaches to the city of Dubai.

The first two islands will comprise approximately 100 million cubic meters of rock and sand. Palm Deira will be composed of approximately 1 billion cubic meters of rock and sand. All materials will be quarried in the UAE. Among the three islands there will be over 100 luxury hotels, exclusive residential beach side villas and apartments, marinas, water theme parks, restaurants, shopping malls, sports facilities and health spas.

The creation of the Palm Jumeirah began in June 2001. Shortly after, the Palm Jebel Ali was announced and reclamation work began. The Palm Deira, which is planned to have a surface area of 46.35 square kilometres, was announced for development in October 2004. Construction was originally planned to take 10–15 years, but that was before the impact of the global credit crunch hit Dubai.

Two other artificial archipelagos, The World and The Universe, are located between the Palm Islands."

According to what I read on the Internet a lot of money was spent on this huge and beautiful project making it difficult to fulfil the dreams of all the islands and thus some part of the project were halted for an unknown time period. Moreover due to natural forces and human constraints, the project deadline was changed many-a-times.

Palm Jebel Ali

The Palm Jebel Ali is an artificial archipelago in Dubai, United Arab Emirates which began construction in October 2002, was originally planned to be completed by mid 2008 and has been on hold since. The project, which is 50 percent larger than the Palm Jumeirah, is proposed to include six marinas, a water theme park, 'Sea Village', homes built on stilts above the water, and boardwalks that circle the "fronds" of the "palm" and spell out an Arabic poem by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum:

Take wisdom from the wise

It takes a man of vision to write on water
Not everyone who rides a horse is a jockey
Great men rise to greater challenges

The breakwater was completed in December 2006, and infrastructure work began in April 2007. Major construction will not begin until most of the infrastructure work is complete. Following the financial crisis of 2008 work has been suspended and the developers, Nakheel, have confirmed no work would take place on the development in the near future.

One of the first buildings on The Palm Jebel Ali is already known. Nakheel invited several architects to design a building on a 300,000 m2 area. The winning design was a building by Royal Haskoning, who also worked on several other projects in Dubai. The building can be seen here.

In the first signs of a slowing Dubai property market, the prices of properties being sold on the Palm Jebel Ali were reported to have fallen by 40% in the two months to November 2008, with the fall being attributed to the Financial crisis of 2007–2010. In March 2011 Nakheel offered refunds to property investors.

Once completed, The Palm Jebel Ali is expected to house more than 250,000 people.

It is now 2012, and the man-made island was completed two weeks ago on September 18, 2012. It is now completed finally.

Palm Deira

The Palm Deira is an artificial archipelago, part of the Palm Islands, Dubai. It was announced for development in October 2004. The first announced design was 8 times larger than the Palm Jumeirah, and 5 times larger than the Palm Jebel Ali, and was intended to house one million people. Originally, the design called for a 14 by 8.5 kilometres (8.7 by 5.3 mi) island with 41 fronds. Due to a substantial change in depth in the Persian Gulf the farther out the island goes, the island was redesigned in May 2007. The project then became a 12.5 by 7.5 kilometres (7.8 by 4.7 mi) island with 18 larger fronds. It will be located alongside Deira. The project is currently on-hold.

By early October 2007, 20% of the island's reclamation was complete, with a total of 200 million cubic metres (7 billion cubic feet) of sand already used. Then in early April 2008, Nakheel announced that more than a quarter of the total area of the Palm Deira had been reclaimed. This amounted to 300 million cubic metres (10.6 billion cubic feet) of sand. Since the island is so large, it is being developed in several phases. The first one is the creation of Deira Island. This portion of the Palm will sit alongside the Deira Corniche between the entrance to Dubai Creek and Al Hamriya Port. Promotional materials state that Deira Island will act as "the gateway to The Palm Deira" and help to revitalize the aging area of Deira., By early April 2008, 80% of Deira Island Front's reclamation was complete.

A new redesign was quietly introduced in November 2008, further reducing the size of the project. Since 2008 the project is on-hold.

Palm Jumeirah

The Palm Jumeirah is in the shape of a palm tree. It consists of a trunk, a crown with 16 fronds, and a surrounding crescent island that forms an 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) long breakwater. The island is 5 by 5 kilometres (3.1 by 3.1 mi) and its total area is larger than 800 football pitches. The crown is connected to the mainland by a 300-metre (980 ft) bridge and the crescent is connected to the top of the palm by a subsea tunnel. Over the next few years, as the tourism phases develop, The Palm Jumeirah is touted as soon to be one of the world’s premier resorts. The Palm Island is the self-declared 'Eighth Wonder of the World'. The island doubled the length of the Dubai coastline.

According to the developer's publicity material, the Jumeirah Palm island will feature themed hotels, three types of villas (Signature Villas, Garden Homes and Canal Cove Town Homes), apartment buildings, beaches, marinas, restaurants, and a variety of retail outlets.

Palms Islands are the real marvel made by man I must say. If the project was completed as they wished and wanted on time, I guess there would have been no richer country than Dubai in the world all because of the tourism! If you are gonna ask me, I loved this idea of Palm Islands but at the same time I find it scary because of all the water around it, though nature is not wrathful, but if a lot of tourism makes it agitated, the results could be chilling!

I hope you all liked this post. Let me confirm the pics like most of the posts are not mine, and I have found them on the Internet. So if anyone has problems with me using any of them, please let me know, I'll remove it asap! :) All comments and suggestions welcomed. Requests are always loved! :) TAKE CARE! :D

What's ipv4 and ipv6? - Tech Tuesday

Hey all my dear readers! How are you all doing? :D I welcome all of you at my blog on this lovely Tech Tuesday! :D

I thought a lot before making this post. Actually what happened was that I thought of something real cool to be posted today, but by the time Tuesday came, I forgot it! :/ So then after a lot of wondering I thought of something cool, though still unable to recall what I thought earlier! LOL!!

With Internet becoming the so called 'lifeline' of many people around the globe(for which I say, Thanks to Social Networking) everyone is looking up for faster and secure internet connections. The IP, i.e., Internet Protocol is one of the things people should be aware of.

The Internet Protocol (IP) is the principal communications protocol used for relaying datagrams (also known as network packets) across an internetwork using the Internet Protocol Suite. Responsible for routing packets across network boundaries, it is the primary protocol that establishes the Internet.

IP is the primary protocol in the Internet Layer of the Internet Protocol Suite and has the task of delivering datagrams from the source host to the destination host solely based on the addresses. For this purpose, IP defines datagram structures that encapsulate the data to be delivered. It also defines addressing methods that are used to label the datagram source and destination.

All that simply implies, No Internet without the IP! With the traffic increasing, and so also the density of attacks and hacks, faster and safer connections are preferred. The IP is revised whenever it's development can be widely adopted.

Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) is the fourth revision in the development of the Internet Protocol (IP) and the first version of the protocol to be widely deployed. Together with IPv6, it is at the core of standards-based internetworking methods of the Internet. As of 2012 IPv4 is still the most widely deployed Internet Layer protocol. Not that technical, right?

IPv4 is a connectionless protocol for use on packet-switched Link Layer networks (e.g., Ethernet). It operates on a best effort delivery model, in that it does not guarantee delivery, nor does it assure proper sequencing or avoidance of duplicate delivery. These aspects, including data integrity, are addressed by an upper layer transport protocol, such as the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP).

IPv4 uses 32-bit (four-byte) addresses, which limits the address space to 4294967296 (232) addresses. Addresses were assigned to users, and the number of unassigned addresses decreased. IPv4 address exhaustion occurred on February 3, 2011. It had been significantly delayed by address changes such as classful network design, Classless Inter-Domain Routing, and network address translation (NAT).

This limitation of IPv4 stimulated the development of IPv6 in the 1990s, which has been in commercial deployment since 2006.

Interesting, isn't it? The main reason for the development of ipv6 is the limit that might exceed any day! I guess it already would have had if no one were using ipv6. Who knows?

IPv6 implements a new IP address system that allows for far more addresses to be assigned than is possible with IPv4, but as a result the two protocols are not compatible, complicating the transition to IPv6. IPv6 uses 128-bit addresses, allowing for 2128, or approximately 3.4×1038 addresses — more than 7.9×1028 times as many as IPv4, which uses 32-bit addresses. IPv4 allows for only 4,294,967,296 unique addresses worldwide (or less than one address per person alive in 2012), but IPv6 allows for around 4.8×1028 addresses per person — a number unlikely ever to run out. Did ya read that carefully enough?? 4.8 x 1028 PER PERSON!! PER PERSON!!!!!!! Whoa!

IPv6 addresses, as commonly displayed to users, consist of eight groups of four hexadecimal digits separated by colons, for example 2312:0db4:87d3:0642:00a0:842d:0e70:43e4. Now this is quite different than our primary ipv4 with 4 groups like 45.234.123.23, right? According to what I think, because of the longer address, the number of possible combinations increases multifold, just imagine, the domain is doubled means the range would be atleast quadrupled! Well, that's just mathematics and one should know, theories suggest, hackers have a nice hold on mathematics! :O Well, what I was saying is in such a case with so many combinations, it is likely to be safer on ipv6 than on ipv4.

Although according to an article I read on the Internet, it is just a myth to think ipv6 is more secure. It said:

"It would be more accurate to say that IPv6 is no less secure than IPv4. The main security mechanism built into IPv6 is IPsec. IPsec is not new - it can be used with IPv4 as well, and this has been possible since its earliest days. However, a conforming implementation of IPv6 must support IPsec, while there is no such requirement in IPv4. This has led to the misconception that IPv6 is automatically more secure than IPv4: instead, it still requires careful implementation and well-educated system and network staff.

In some other ways IPv6 in fact does support better security: that IPsec can be guaranteed to be supported fosters its use and propagation. The header design in IPv6 is better, leading to a cleaner division between encryption metadata and the encrypted payload, which some analysts consider has improved the IPsec implementation. And the huge address space can, if desired, be used to defeat scanning attacks by simply allocating random addresses within subnets.

However, the bottom line for IPv6, as for all protocols and systems, is that education, training and awareness are the best investments from a security perspective. "

But some article suggest it is way too secure! Now this is kind of dilemma for a common man who is concerned about security than technical details. But well, perhaps we have to live with this, like it has been for years! In any case, it seems more promising to use ipv6 than ipv4, though ipv6 can never overrun ipv4 due to it's already widespread adoption.

I think this article was interesting. Well, to me it was! LOL! :D All sorts of comments and suggestions are welcomed, and as I said earlier, I would love to get your inputs and if you want to me share something, or search the internet for you and give the answer, please feel free to make a request on any post or the CBox on the right. Good Day! :)

All Summer Long and November Rain - Musical Monday

Hey!! Happy New Week and Happy new Month all my dear visitors! :D I hope October goes on amazingly for you all! :D :D

On this Musical Monday of October I am bringing two amazing Rock Songs for you all. Have fun! :)

All Summer Long by Kid Rock

Lyrics:

It was 1989, my thoughts were short my hair was long
Caught somewhere between a boy and man
She was seventeen and she was far from in-between
It was summertime in Northern Michigan
Ahh Ahh Ahh
Ahh Ahh Ahh

Splashing through the sand bar
Talking by the campfire
It's the simple things in life, like when and where
We didn't have no internet
But man I never will forget
The way the moonlight shined upon her hair

[Chorus:]
And we were trying different things
We were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet home Alabama all summer long

Catching Walleye from the dock
Watching the waves roll off the rocks
She'll forever hold a spot inside my soul
We'd blister in the sun
We couldn't wait for night to come
To hit that sand and play some rock and roll

While we were trying different things
And we were smoking funny things
Making love out by the lake to our favorite song
Sipping whiskey out the bottle, not thinking 'bout tomorrow
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long

Now nothing seems as strange as when the leaves began to change
Or how we thought those days would never end
Sometimes I'll hear that song and I'll start to sing along
And think man I'd love to see that girl again

[Repeat Chorus x2]

Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long
Singing Sweet Home Alabama all summer long

November Rain by Guns 'N' Roses

Lyrics:

When I look into your eyes I can see a love restrained
But darlin' when I hold you, don't you know I feel the same? yeah
Nothin' lasts forever and we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle in the cold November rain

We've been through this such a long long time
Just tryin' to kill the pain, ooh yeah
But lovers always come and lovers always go
An' no one's really sure who's lettin' go today, walking away

And if we take the time to lay it on the line
I could rest my head just knowin' that you were mine, all mine
So if you want to love me then darlin' don't refrain
Or I'll just end up walkin' in the cold November rain

Do you need some time on your own?
Do you need some time all alone?
Everybody needs some time on their own
Don't you know you need some time all alone?

I know it's hard to keep an open heart
When even friends seem out to harm you
But if you could heal the broken heart
Wouldn't time be out to charm you?

Sometimes I need some time on my own
Sometimes I need some time all alone
Everybody needs some time on their own
Don't you know you need some time all alone

And when your fears subside and shadows still remain, oh yeah
I know that you can love me when there's no one left to blame
So never mind the darkness we still can find a way
Nothin' lasts forever even cold November rain

Don't ya think that you need somebody?
Don't ya think that you need someone?
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one, you're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody?
Don't ya think that you need someone?
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one, you're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody?
Don't ya think that you need someone?
Everybody needs somebody
You're not the only one, you're not the only one

Don't ya think that you need somebody?
Don't ya think that you need someone?
Everybody needs somebody
